Over the past decade, Nickie Hanley has become a well- known and much-loved community leader in the yoga, meditation and wellness space in the City of Port Phillip. She has a passion for the health and well-being of her students and the greater community at large. Nickie has lived in the City of Port Phillip for over fifteen years. During this time, she has been heavily involved in the local community, hosting Discoyoga at St Kilda Festival since 2014 as well as at the opening of the new Acland Street precinct. As creator and producer of Dharmaland, Nickie Hanley has over 25 years experience developing, managing and hosting events. She is the creator of Discoyoga, a Vinyasa yoga class with a live DJ, that has been specifically designed to raise the vibration of the community by offering them an uplifting experience in a drug and alcohol free space. Nickie has grown Discoyoga over the past 5 years, hosting sell-out events and building attendance to over 1,000 people at St Kilda Festival. She has also run successful fundraising events raising $10,000 for the 2009 bushfire appeal, $9,000 for the Butterfly Foundation and $2,000 for the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre.

Sarina Lowe is Dharmaland’s Partnerships and Strategic Planner with over a decade of industry experience. Sarina’s area of expertise is in relationship building, consulting, strategic marketing, event planning and execution. Ashleigh Dickinson is Dharmaland’s Social Media Manager.
Ashleigh brings a wealth of experience to the team and will be focused on campaign building and community engagement.
Leanne Hanley is Dharmaland’s Head Designer, Videographer and Photographer, Leanne has been working in the film and television industry for the past 25 years and has developed a wide array of skills across all areas of production.
Our team continues to grow and now comprises experts in copywriting, marketing, sponsorship development, public relations, human resources, accounting, legal advice and sustainability.
